Whole-person care for people who are ready to feel like themselves again

Neutral-toned dried flower arrangement in a white ceramic vase on a clean white table, styled with beige and cream pampas grass, creating a calming minimalist aesthetic that reflects holistic wellness, natural living, and balanced lifestyle coaching.

Melissa Mullin, MSFM, MSAOM. Here…

You’ve been told, “everything’s fine,” even when something still feels off…

But the fatigue, the brain fog, the bloating, the anxiety? They’re real — and they’re exhausting.

Maybe you’ve tried cutting gluten, sleeping more, meditating, and moving.
You’ve followed all the wellness “rules” and still feel like something’s off. That’s your body asking for deeper support.

At MBHM, we do things differently.

We trace symptoms and don’t chase them. Approaching your health concerns using a whole-person approach. Because we believe everything is connected, your biochemistry, nervous system, and emotional state.

How I Help You Feel Better Again

Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine is centered around making interventions early on, before chronic disease develops.

  • Whole Person Medicine: I approach your body as an interconnected system, recognizing that imbalance in one area can affect the whole. Rather than simply treating symptoms. We’ll uncover and address the root cause of dysfunction. Many people continue to feel unwell despite “normal” blood work because the underlying issue has not been properly identified or treated.
  • Specialty Testing: Tired of being told your labs are “normal”? Complex problems require advanced testing. Being in this industry for over a decade. I partner with 20+ advanced labs to run blood, saliva, stool, and urine tests that go deeper than standard diagnostics, helping us see what others miss.
  • Prevention First: You don’t have to wait until you’re “sick enough” to get support. We use evidence-based reference ranges and early interventions to support your body before chronic illness sets in.
  • Personalized Treatment: Every plan is customized based on your labs, history, and lifestyle. You’ll walk away with clear, step-by-step guidance on supplements, nutrition, and nervous system support that fits you. Ready to feel seen and supported?

Description: A serene scene of a woman arranging foliage—most likely greenery or dried plants—in a vase or container. The woman, wearing a light-colored top, is gently positioning the stems, suggesting a mindful or creative activity connected to home decor, floral styling, or therapeutic practice.
A partial composition that includes a collection of decorative elements—such as soft-hued florals (perhaps dried), ornamental objects (like a vase or a sculptural accent), and muted-toned hanging decor—all arranged with a minimal, natural vibe on a clean surface or backdrop.

Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET)

NAET is a gentle, non-invasive method that helps retrain your body to stop reacting to certain allergens. With NAET, I use applied kinesiology, acupressure, and gentle nervous system work to identify the allergen, treat it, and then guide you through a 25-hour avoidance period.

Because, Your sensitivities might be doing more than just irritating you. They could be silently draining your energy, mood, and immune system. And, I always begin with IgE testing to guide the process. NAET can support desensitization to:

  • Food allergies and sensitivities
  • Environmental and chemical triggers
  • Emotional allergies or trauma-based patterns
  • Ready to feel safe in your body again?

Frequently Asked Questions

Certain insurance plans that have out-of-network benefits can be utilized for blood tests. I cannot use HMO insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, or short-term/casualty plans. Insurance is not used for the consultation visits.

— Before we have a visit, I like to have an introductory call to assess what your needs are and what tests or services are best for you.

— The initial NAET visit is done at the office. I muscle test you for “the basic 15” items and treat you for one item. You receive a guidebook detailing what items need to be treated, and you can log your treatment history and improvements in there.

— The initial functional medicine visit and functional services are typically done virtually. You will have your tests completed first, and then we will have the virtual consultation to discuss the results and functional medicine strategy to balance any observed issues. You will receive copies of everything we will discuss, a detailed report entailing the summary of findings and recommendations.

— You can book an introductory call here: www.vagaro.com/healnow

— I worked in a private functional medicine practice from 2011-2022, where I had excellent mentorship.

— I am more than well-versed in quality supplements, evidence-based research protocols, and lab testing. Between 2013 and 2025, I attended 50+ functional medicine seminars to satiate my hunger for knowledge. These seminars were provided by the most cutting-edge nutraceutical companies: Apex Energetics, Metagenics, Numedica, Designs for Health, Xymogen, and Biotics Research. As well as laboratories: Genova Diagnostics, Diagnostic Solutions Labs, Precision Point Diagnostic, Professional Co-op, Spectracell, Mosaic Diagnostics, and more.

— I hold a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States (2020) and a second Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (2025) from ATOM.

— I come from a strong family background that honors living a preventative lifestyle. In my family, Chinese Medicine, herbal, and homeopathic medicines are revered as alternative means of healing, and traditional allopathic medicine is used when necessary.

— After the initial functional medicine consultation, I like to have a 15-minute check-in call every 4 or 6 weeks.
Monthly check-in calls help patients hold accountability with adhering to the plan. They are also helpful for those who need a little more hand-holding during the process. In complex cases that involve layered protocols, check-in calls are necessary.

— After the initial NAET visit, I recommend completing at least one treatment a week. NAET involves a series of treatments that build on top of each other. You will also be instructed on how to do self-treatments if your case should call for it.

Your journey to healing starts today.
